Marching forward into 2020 and a new decade, although Inigo Jones is open as a visitor attraction year-round, the start of a new year presents the perfect opportunity to take stock of the previous year and reflect on the fun and interesting projects that were completed.

Crafted onsite and available in the shop are Welsh Slate hanging picture frames. Proving popular with visitors and locals alike, we were asked to make a larger custom version made to showcase a mountainous printed image of North Wales.   The Welsh Slate Frame measured approximately 50cm x 45cm, its larger size and its natural riven characteristics enriches the romanticism and narrative of the image, compelling any viewer to plan a journey or two!

Another couple of interesting projects that we worked on ware Welsh Slate House Name plates. The first of which was a functional piece to be placed on the wall of a Bed & Breakfast property in the area. The Vacancies/ No Vacancies slate plate features a second slate section, featuring the image of the Welsh Dragon, placed over the ‘No’ when rooms are available and then of course removed when full!

The second was to pay homage to a celebratory bottle of Whiskey bought at the very beginning of our customer’s long career. The bottle to be opened upon retirement and a new beginning, the Nameplate was produced to mark their next chapter.

Continuing along the lines of celebration, we also supplied Trearddur Bay Sailing Club with custom printed Placemats and Coasters to celebrate their Centenary and Past Commodores’ Dinner. The Armed forces at Valley were also supplied with Custom Welsh Slate Celebratory items, such as personalised Printed Cheeseboards that were gifted to personnel moving on from Valley to other horizons.

Here at Inigo Jones we welcome enquiries for projects that are a little less standard, and will work hard to produce pieces exacting our customers requirements. Let’s see what 2020 will bring!
