With the sun shining on North Wales these past few weeks, a number of athletic competitions have taken place and been hugely successful. From UK Challenge hosted this year in Snowdonia,- a world leading team-building event with over 2000 teams from 500 companies taking part, to local Races like the Eryri Harriers 10K run, Race the Train 5 kilometre exhilarating fun run from Dinas to Caernarfon, and The Spinlock IRC Welsh Championships at Plas Heli to name but a few. Participants and Winners alike of these events have been awarded impressive trophies made from the area’s finest Welsh Slate which Inigo Jones of Y Groeslon, Caernarfon are honoured to have supplied.
Using a combination of traditional slate working methods and contemporary digital aids, Inigo Jones craft their slate awards to exacting customer requirements. Full colour digital printing enables the slate works to offer endless possibilities and variations in design work, the ability to print detailed logos in colour or monochrome, even the option of printing on to classic riven or sleek polished slate surfaces.
The showroom at Groeslon showcases various popular designs used over the years, where delighted customers from UK Challenge recently collected their full colour polished and riven trophies. Particularly fascinated by alternative trophy styles, an additional special trophy was commissioned for the Brain Race, a “physical test where intelligence matters”. This Award echoed the area’s physical mountainous landscape in its design along with the events logo and awarding details.
